Intelligent Business Systems has installed a combined hospitality-retail epos system at the award-winning Cafe-in-the-Crypt as part of the St. Martin-in-the-Fields’ £36m renewal project.

Located in the heart of London’s theatreland and dating back to 1222, St. Martin-in-the-Fields is a busy working city centre parish church with its own hospitality and classical and jazz concert facilities. The renewal project includes increasing the cafe’s atmospheric underground crypt’s capacity from 160 to 225 covers.

Luis Martins, Cafe-in-the-Crypt food services manager, said: “Our epos system has to meet both our hospitality and retail requirements and the IBS system ticked all the right boxes. They have proved to be always willing to listen and work with us rather than provide us with a restrictive off-the-shelf solution.”

“Just as important, the system the flexibility and versatility to meet our requirements on an on-going basis,” said Luis.
