Intelligent Business Systems has added to the functionality of its modular-based StockLink enterprise management system.

StockLink, built around a powerful MS Windows platform and specifically designed for the hospitality and leisure sectors, has been enhanced with a new journal server module, a predictive ordering function, a vending stock result and on-line ordering facilities.

The journal server module brings selected till journals into the system’s database where they are split into the various elements of each transaction to create appropriate tables. The result is improved, high-level reporting and business intelligence. The employment of the journal server module gives users numerous report options, ranging from date, time, clerk, item, site and transactions per minute.

Predictive ordering automatically suggests the order quantities. When the user creates a purchase order for a supplier, they input the required delivery date and use the ‘restock’ button. The system will then calculate usage based upon historical sales information to forecast recommended order quantities.

The on-line ordering system option enables clients’ customers to log-on from home or the office, call up published electronic menus and daily ‘specials’, place their orders and pay over the internet prior to collection at the designated time and outlet. Full cash-up and reporting facilities for on-line orders are also included in the new module.

Completing the quartet of enhancements is a vending stock result. This has been added to StockLink’s modular options as a control mechanism for machines at hospitality venues.
